Everyone loves heart-shaped decorations. This beautiful wooden craft can be hung on the door or as part of a wall display. Paint the hearts red, pink and white and you have decorations for Valentine's Day. Paint it red and green for Christmas or red, white and blue to show your love for America. To make a heart wire, you'll need 5 heart-shaped bars about three inches wide, an eight-inch and a quarter-inch bit, a small raffia, two 1 - 1/2 inches wide. soft ribbon, two large wooden beads and acrylic paint in the colors you want. The ribbon and ropes should match the desired color scheme. Checkered ribbons are more effective.
The chain of hearts has five hearts tied on the side with small raffia bows. The first and last hearts have a wide ribbon tied with a hole on each side and a bead tied with a ribbon. The ribbon is tied at the ends and forms a loop of ribbon at each end, which can hold a nail for hanging.
The first step in making wood crafts is to drill a small hole on each side of the heart. The two outer holes were made with a quarter inch drill and the other holes were made with a 1/8 inch drill bit. Now paint the hearts with acrylic paint in the colors you want.
